I have just returned from a 2 night stay. Location is good if you want to be in the centre of Barcelona. Near by to the shops and Las Ramblas. Hotel was very clean and all staff were friendly. The room was spacious with a bath and shower in the bathroom with toiletries supplied. The bed was very comfortable. The room had everything we needed; a safe, a fridge, tea and coffee facilities etc.

The breakfast was 19 euros which i thought was a little expensive so we went without and found a lovely little patisserie behind the hotel. I would definitely stay here again, good stay! I booked the hotel about 6 weeks ahead of my stay and arrived on a Tuesday night at 11.15pm.

I had 5 nights reserved at the hotel as I was on business for 2 days then vacation with my wife joining me for 3 days. On arrival I was told that there was a problem with the booking system so I didn't have a room. The receptionists wanted me to stay at their 'sister' hotel 10 minutes away which I wasn't happy with at all as I had to leave for business meetings at 7am the next day. So I contacted my booking agent who phoned the reception desk while I was on hold with them and standing at reception.

They then told my booking agent (a very large online hotel booking agent) that actually the problem was that they had a plumbing problem but they couldn't tell me this. Eventually they wore me down and I agreed to go to the other hotel. They then said, 'OK so you go there for tonight and then come back here tomorrow'. Well, I couldn't because I was there on business and out the whole day and evening the next day so I said just keep me there for 2 nights and I'll come back here in two days.

The answer from the hotel was then 'you can't that hotel is fully booked'. So at 11.30pm I gave up and booked another hotel on the spot (K&K Picasso which I highly recommend). Disgusting customer treatment. I don't believe their excuses, they just over-booked and bumped me because I had a good rate. On the other hand if I am completely wrong about that then why didn't they contact my booking agent BEFORE 11PM the same day to let me know I didn't have a room??? Of course not. They didn't even pay for my taxi to the other hotel.

This just isn't good enough. Terrible customer treatment.

A very comfortable and luxurious haven of tranquility on the doorstep of Las Ramblas,Catalunya Plaza and all the wonderful sights in Barcelona, where my wife and I holidayed for 5 nights. The staff were friendly and professional and quite clearly very well trained by management.A special mention for the housekeeper who serviced our room (603) ---her nice smile, warmth and helpfulness always meant a great start to each day. We stayed in a spacious superior room with a balcony, it was very quiet and well appointed -comfortable king bed, bathrobes and slippers, excellent toiletries and amenities (great shower room! Design Patch Antenna there. ).Breakfast offered a full range of hot and cold options again with excellent service and a chef cooking to order if desired. We had dinner in the fine dining restaurant in the hotel one night - excellent and a good wine list as well. The bar and reception areas were chic and comfortable. The hotel has an indoor spa area and we look forward to organising a few treatments there on our next visit.

We also look forward to seeing the outdoor pool/ dining area, which was closed for renovation during our stay. Wifi throughout the hotel, everywhere, was fast and excellent. The cost of the hotel was extremely reasonable for the luxury and location and we would like to thank everyone in the hotel for making our stay so pleasurable - it was so nice to go back there after busy days enjoying ourselves in Barcelona!
