I am completely new to Checkpoint and for someone like me, this has been a nightmare. No one here mentioned that the address of the Smart Console Server is the one that should be in the license, i.e 10.255. Fast Dvd Burner. 79.37 that is being mentioned here. I put it on the firewall, tried and tried and gave up. I then realized, changed the IPs on the FW to something else and Mgmt server to the license IP and the SmartUpdate still sees the old address I had to re-install everything making sure now that the Mgmt server's initially assigned IP is the one mentioned in the license. Now I applied the license and I can see that it never expires. Now my question is if I need to apply any license on the firewall as well?

Installer Removepreviousversions Doesn T Work. Or is this now a fully functional lab setup? Another question is if I need a lab setup with two Checkpoint firewalls to try a VPN between them, how do I manage the second firewall and how do I get the license with another IP? Thanks in advance guys.
